Life Partners

life partnersPerhaps a few years after the arrival of cinema did films stop being graded solely on originality. One does not go to the movies because the plot is unheard of; every story adapts, takes, rehashes, borrows, improves, and adds to stories that have been previously told.
What makes a film stand out above the rest is how well it utilizes the elements at its disposal to create something unique.
Acting, music, editing, shooting, lighting, directing, even the locations, are what makes or breaks any given film.
It takes less than 5 minutes from the opening credits to figure out where Life Partners is going, and how it’s probably going to end.
But the script is not trying to make the familiar unconventional. It’s trying to make it engaging.
