Ex Machina

exI do think this movie is freakier than many horror films.
The atmosphere alone, aided by a pulsing soundtrack that never lets up, makes you feel like something ominous is about to happen, even though the setting is a bunker with only 2 people, and 2 androids in it.

And then we have the implications of A.I. Can humanity really build these futuristic machines, and will they really be the cause of our downfall?

I hold to the notion that us humans are too evil and that we’ll eventually kill each other, which means that if machines eventually rule the world, it will be because they were the ones who survived by watching all the carnage unfold, and not precisely the ones holding the gun.

Still, this movie does make me question…
